Fieldworks: Creative Research by DU Faculty

Opening Reception January 11th 5-8pm

The Vicki Myhren Gallery is pleased to announce a new program – an annual exhibition featuring the research and artworks of creative faculty members at the School of Art and Art history. Fieldworks specifically focuses on  the research and creative process itself.
The everyday reality of art making is overlooked. Works exhibited in museums and galleries are only final products of tedious research. Art genesis occurs only through prolonged periods of intense investigation and experimentation. Ideas are unfolded, methodologies questioned as artists expand their practices.
