Month of Print 2024 featuring artwork by DU alumni

As part of the Month of Printmaking, University of Denver print area faculty sought to bring back an alumni artist cohort who have continued to explore print and processes related to printmaking. An important facet of this was an invitation to create new work in the DU printshop to foster dialogue with current students. This has been an energetic time!

Since the opening is on Leap Day, we invited the artists to think about synchronicity with astronomical events, celestial alignments, seasonal changes, and the overarching idea of leaping into new transitions.

Print processes employed in the new work include drypoint, lithography, relief, screen print, and mixed media.
