Visit the Vicki Myhren Gallery & Davis Gallery

Admission is always free at the Vicki Myhren Gallery and Davis Gallery.

Pop in for a few minutes between classes or stay for a longer visit! Explore with friends or investigate by yourself! Everyone is welcome in our galleries.


Location

The Vicki Myhren Gallery and Davis Gallery are both located on the main floor of Shwayder Art Building at the University of Denver.

Shwayder Art Building is located on the north side of DU’s campus, just south of the Ritchie Center and the iconic gold spire.

The Vicki Myhren Gallery is opposite the main entrance to Shwayder Art Building.

The Davis Gallery is located off the lobby. After entering the building through the main doors turn right. The Davis Gallery is just past the large, red sculpture by Lawrence Argent called Cojones.


Directions

By Car From I-25 N or S, take the University Blvd exit (#205). Head south and turn west on Asbury Avenue. The gallery is a block and a half down on your right.

Light Rail Take lines E, F, or H to the University of Denver stop. Walk east on Buchtel Blvd. to University Blvd,. turn right, then right again at Asbury. The gallery is about a block and a half down, on your right.

Alternately, from the station walk south on High St. to Asbury and turn left. The gallery is approximately four blocks down, on your left.

Our main entrance is located close to the Ritchie Center gymnasium entrance.

Bus We are close to lines 21 and 24.

Parking

Parking is limited around DU’s campus. Limited paid parking is available on Asbury in front of the elevated tennis & basketball courts. Metered parking is also available on University Blvd. between Asbury Ave. and Evans Ave. Free 1-hour street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood (continue west past High St. on Asbury).

Accessible Parking:

Passenger drop-off is available in front of Shwayder Art Building in the loading zone/bus stop on the North side of Asbury Avenue.

There are accessible parking spaces available for visitors with a valid disability placard or plate.

A few spots are located on the South side of Asbury Avenue across from the gallery. Angle parking spaces are available further West down Asbury Avenue in front of the elevated tennis and basketball courts.


Hours

When exhibitions are up, the galleries are open 12 to 5 PM, Tuesday through Sunday.

The galleries are closed on Mondays, during University holidays, and between exhibitions. Please check the homepage for the most accurate and up-to-date information on the open hours.
