Free and open to the public, the Vicki Myhren Gallery showcases and inspires creativity at the University of Denver. Through collaborative programs and dynamic exhibitions, the VMG encourages the interplay of artistic expression with student learning and serves as a multidisciplinary space for conversation, community, co-creation, performance, and practice of the arts.


Attention: Accessing the Galleries

As of March 13, 2026, all DU buildings require a University ID card to enter. If you do not have an ID card, please click the button below to schedule a time to visit, and one of our gallery attendants can let you into the building. 
Please enter through the front doors on Asbury Avenue. 

The Davis Gallery is open: 
12–5 PM, Tuesday through Sunday 
12–7 PM on Thursdays

Legacy of Helen Davis

  By Annie Drysdale, Graduate Class of 2025 Helen Davis’s life was dedicated to people and art. Her adventurous approach to art was nurtured at Northwest Missouri State University, experimenting across a wide variety of media. Davis moved to Colorado in 1948 and established an arts therapy program at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital. Davis has long been affiliated with the University of Denver. She received her Ed.D. from DU in 1961. Her experience of gender-based discrimination reinforced Davis’s feminist convictions and inspired her lifelong mentorship of and advocacy for women.
