August 27 through September 27, 2015 The Vicki Myhren Gallery continues to celebrate the donors of art to the University Art Collections. Through their generosity, the collections have grown rapidly, now numbering over 3300 catalogued artworks. Among many other works, recent gifts include one of Vance Kirkland’s largest and most ambitious paintings, an anonymous Hudson Valley School landscape dating from around 1850, and a new selection of Southwestern and Native American works donated by the late Helen Driscoll. Newly conserved English landscape watercolors donated by alumna Elaine Long will also be on view, along with prints by Thomas Nast and...

Sunday, August 9, 3pm-5pm at the Vicki Myhren Gallery Join us for this special one day pop-up art show and celebration in honor of the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia’s death! Come check out over 30 Grateful Dead posters and photos on display and listen to some throwback vinyl! Enjoy cool refreshments and ice cream as you flash back to the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s with some of these never-before-seen-in-Denver artworks. Thank you to the nearly 400 people who came out for the BFA opening reception last night, making it one of our biggest receptions ever!
