Opening reception: January 14, 5-7 pm This exhibition explores the underpinnings of color, with a particular emphasis on the shifting and elusive quality of the concept, in order to help the viewer see color in a richer and more complex way. In conjunction with Vicki Myhren Gallery’s Learning to See Color exhibition, a symposium at DU, co-sponsored by the Clyfford Still Museum, will feature distinguished guest speakers – artists, art historians, critics, and musicians – to explore the fasinating problems and challenges of the language of color. Moderated by Dean Sobel, director of the Clyfford Still Museum, the panelists will address inquiries concerning color – one of the most fundamental topics in the arts – and a primary interest to Clyfford Still himself.

October 8 through November 15, 2015 Opening Reception: October 8, 5-7 PM This exhibition features pieces from an ongoing series of collected and bundled handmade ceramic “found” objects. Also included in the show are large-scale drawings relating to the to the ceramic artwork. Rosen, who is the Robert Arneson Endowed Chair in ceramic sculpture at University of California Davis, is a widely exhibited artist with works in many major art museums.
