For our current exhibit, Learning to See Color, we had a special opportunity to collaborate with the Clyfford Still Museum. Our exhibit explores five questions concerning color – one of the most fundamental topics in the arts – and a primary interest to Clyfford Still himself. Among the characteristics that define Still’s paintings – dramatic textures, monumental scale, and jagged, vertical forms – the use of color is perhaps the aspect that contributes most substantially to the viewer’s experience.
