Join us for a spooky conversation about Maisel’s practice and his “Library of Dust” series, part of which is currently on view at VMG. David Maisel is a contemporary photographer interested in the power and production of space by examining landscapes and objects that are off-limits, quarantined, or hidden from view. In his series Library of Dust Maisel photographed copper canisters filled with cremated remains of patients from an abandoned state-run psychiatric hospital.
