The BFA Show

The BFA show has been a great success, with twelve of our students showing their work ranging from painting to photography to electronic media. Although the show does not have an official theme, many of our students were interested in environmental issues and the idea of eliminating boundaries. The exhibition is up through graduation on Saturday June 6th, so make sure to stop by and see what our students have accomplished! Paul Soldner and American Raku

Hello everyone! We at the Victoria Myhren Gallery have been quite busy this winter break getting ready for an exciting winter quarter of events. The next show, a retrospective on American master ceramicist Paul Soldner, opens Thursday January 8 from 5-8pm and we are installing it this week. The first event associated with the show is an American Raku workshop on Friday, Jan 9 from 12-4 led by SAAH prof Mia Mulvey and local Raku master Bob Smith. Contemporary Chinese Art from the Logans

I just returned from a presentation and model walk through for the upcoming “Transforming Traditions: Contemporary Chinese Art from the Logan Collection!”  This exhibition is the third in a series of student-curated shows supported by Kent and Vicki Logan and is based on two different classes of students who have done all the work.  The model of the gallery looks great and I can’t wait to see all of these pieces in person.  Below are a few pics to whet your appetite.
