Hi blog readers! My name is Anna Estes, and I’m the new incoming Graduate Gallery Assistant at the Myhren Gallery. The Victoria H. Myhren Gallery opens the season with two concurrent exhibitions, both of which will be on view during the gala opening of the adjacent Nagel Art Studios on October 19. The triennial Juried Alumni Exhibition is designed to help identify and bring together the many alumni of the University of Denver’s School of Art & Art History. The opening reception for the 2010 Juried Alumni Exhibition happens Thursday, September 30th, from 5-8 p.m. in the lobby of the Shwayder Art Building at 2121 E. Asbury Ave. We look forward to seeing you all there to open our 2010/2011 exhibition season. Cheers!

Friday was the last day to submit applications for the 2010 Juried Alumni Exhibition. Thank you to all the alumni that participated. Our jurors are beginning the process of selecting artworks and all decisions will be be made by Friday, July 30th. It is hard to believe it is already the end of July and the exhibition will be opening soon on Thursday, September 30, 2010.
