In my artwork I use abstract forms to visually represent qualities of being. The forms I use are inspired by aspects of the human body as well as intangible aspects of human experience 一 the connections between one person and another, personal headspace, validation of one’s own existence, and the illusive qualities that give each human value and make life worth living. My pieces are meditations on my own experiences and emotions in an attempt to distill them into objects that possess deeply human qualities. The sculptures I make are emotions in and of themselves, emotions that are best expressed with form rather than language.
