As part of our current exhibition, Ghostly Traces: Memory and Mortality in Contemporary Photography the Vicki Myhren Gallery will host a two-part event series on April 4 and April 19, 2019. Featuring ghostly live performances, film screenings, spooky crafts, and lectures led by local creatives Phantom Fun Times is not to be missed!
The first installment on April 4th, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM features a screening of Todd Herman’s short film “Cabinet” (2007). After the film, join us for snacks and collage-making as we craft our very own surrealist -inspired Exquisite Corpses. The second installment of Phantom Fun Times is a **spooktacular** trifecta! Join us from 3:00 – 4:30 PM on April 19th for a lecture by local photographer Roddy MacInnes, followed by a workshop led by local artist George Perez. Wesley Leffingwell and Jenna Clark will finish the evening, as they perform their musical rendition of Baroque Performance on Death.
Light refreshments provided at both events. To learn more about the local artists featured and the art history of some of the hands on activities we’ll be doing, scroll down to the links below. We hope to see you there!
