Winter Break at DU means that we are now hard at work on our upcoming exhibition Fieldworks 2019 Creative Research by DU Faculty of the School of Art & Art History. This exhibition focuses on the everyday reality of art making that is overlooked. Works exhibited in museums and galleries are only final products of tedious research. Art genesis occurs only through prolonged periods of intense investigation and experimentation. Ideas are unfolded, methodologies questioned as artists expand their practices.
In this spirit of exploring the creative process, we are pleased to announce a new instagram series Fieldworks in the Works to bring you along on our process of organizing the exhibition. New features will be up every Friday, and we can’t wait to give you some sneak peeks for this exhibition!
