The Vicki Myhren Gallery continues to celebrate the donors of art to the University Art Collections. Through their generosity, the collections have grown rapidly, now numbering over 3300 catalogued artworks. Among many other works, recent gifts include one of Vance Kirkland’s largest and most ambitious paintings, an anonymous Hudson Valley School landscape dating from around 1850, and a new selection of Southwestern and Native American works donated by the late Helen Driscoll. Newly conserved English landscape watercolors donated by alumna Elaine Long will also be on view, along with prints by Thomas Nast and James McNeill Whistler. Returning by popular demand—and selected by our viewers—will be a large-scale print by Andy Warhol, a recent gift of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
