Lauren has been the assistant to the director at VMG since 2018, after serving as the gallery’s graduate teaching assistant for several years. She earned her master’s degree in Art History and Museum Education from DU’s School of Art and Art History and a bachelor’s in Art History from Beloit College.
Prior to her time at VMG, Lauren was involved at MCA Denver, the Museo de las Americas, the Wright Museum of Fine Art, and the Freeport Art Museum. Lauren’s current research concentrates on countercultural art practices and psychosomatic viewer experiences outside of traditional art spaces.
